My friends and family, This past Friday 08/01/08 my youngest daughter (Haliegh) had her dirt bike stolen from our garage while our family was on vacation. The Charles County Sheriff's Office was promptly notified and Officer Sullivan is conducting an investigation. Case # 08-08930; ID # 0485 The bike was a 2008 KTM 65 X/C that we just bought last October. The VIN # is VBKMRA2348M035194 The bike is orange with a black seat and has custom number plate graphics that have # 24 and "Haleigh Jowett" printed on the side plates and front number plate. The bike also has a broken back fender which I secured with blue and red zip ties. The suspect who took the bike is a juvenile resident of Nanjemoy, MD. Officer Sullivan did a search of the suspect's dwelling and property and couldn't find any evidence of the bike. According to my teenage daughter and her friends, this "young man" is notorious for stealing things and turning around and selling them for cash.
