Our annual SMDR Christmas party will be held on 5 Dec, Friday, at the LaPlata FOP lodge, same location as last year. Social hour starts at 5:30pm with dinner to follow around 7:00pm. Horsdorvers and dinner with all the trimmings will be catered and we ask that each family please bring a desert. The FOP bar will be open serving beer/liquor for a few dollars and water and soda being supplied for free. We also ask that you please bring an unwrapped toy, donations accepted, in supporting the Center for Children Christmas toy drive. (See Below). Each year SMDR supplies a Santa (George) and elves to give away our toys to those who are less fortunate. So please come out and enjoy some holiday spirit with your fellow club members.
The Center for Children effort will be on Dec 8, the Monday after our Christmas party. We will be asking members to show up with their bikes between 5:30 - 5:45. We ask that they have clean bikes and clean gear and will need their bike stands (so the kids can sit on their bikes while we take their pictures). This is our 9th or 10th year doing this. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Contact Todd Fuksa @ 301-609-9445 to get a head count on who is coming .
